On Wednesday, October 2nd, our group made our forth and final trip to Niquette Bay State Park. Upon arrival we made our long and treacherous hike up to our hectare (7). There we began our recordings of course woody debris (CWD),  canopy cover percent, vegetation, and community types present. Not only was it our first day of completing all of the lab tasks, but we also observed some neat animal tracks. For instance, we took a picture of a large nest in a red maple, observed markings from a Pilliated Woodpecker, and noted several piles of domestic canine scat on the Muhley trail. Overall our trip to Niquette Bay State Park was a success. Stay tuned for more blogging to come...
